Well... Guess you would like to go down the rabbit hole. Most of what is in the article is true, however to really refine is to measure the bore and groove of the barrel. Then measure the cylinder chamber dia. Get a reamer to open the dia for correct ball size. Bullet on standard replicas are undersized. I always use a grease wad or a smear of Crisco or other lube over ball just to be sure I don't get a chain fire. I know that is controversial but it's my face behind the sight and it's still intact. As far as sighting, they all shoot high. May be close to aim point around 50 to 70 yards. Just learn the one you have and go from there. Hope that helps.
